New Staff at Hyatt Regency St. Louis
General Manager Greg Saunders Departing Hyatt Regency St. Louis
Greg Saunders, Managing Director of Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch will embark on a new adventure in the Bahamas beginning July 15. The Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar, a 700 room luxury hotel is one of several properties within the resort amongst a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the largest convention center in the region plus world class dining, shopping, spas, entertainment, beach and pool experience. The property is scheduled to open in December 2014.
Saunders has served as Managing Director since November 2008. The 910 room hotel completed a $63 million renovation in 2009. He received recognition from Hyatt Hotels Corporation when he was named the “2010 General Manager of the Year”. His leadership was also evident as Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch was awarded as a St. Louis Business Journal’s Best Place to Work from 2010-2013 and the hotel held the top spot in Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s Employee Engagement Scores from 2010-2012.
“Greg has been a great ambassador for the city of St. Louis and a personal friend. I will miss him and wish him well,” said Colonel Sam Dotson, Chief of Police, Metropolitan Police Department, City of St. Louis.
“The relationship between Hyatt and the St. Louis Cardinals has grown tremendously over the last 5 years Greg has handled the partnership. We have become good friends and I will miss him but wish him the best of luck. I look forward to working with Joe when he arrives in St. Louis,” said Dan Farrell, St. Louis Cardinals Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Joe Hindsley, General Manager of Atlanta's second-largest hotel, Hyatt Regency Atlanta, will take over at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch on July 15. His leadership was recognized this March when Hyatt Hotels Corporation named him as "General Manager of the Year" for the company's largest hotels in 2012. Hindsley won’t be new to the St. Louis area as he served as General Manager of the old Hyatt Regency Union Station from 1999 to 2004. He is excited about the opportunity to move back to St. Louis, which his family calls home.
Additional leadership changes at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch also include a new Director of Sales and Marketing, Bryan King. He began his position on July 1st. Most recently, Bryan was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Columbus. In 2009 and 2012, Bryan was nominated for Hyatt’s “Director of Sales of the Year” award and led his team to a “2012 Sales Team of the Year” nomination. An 11 year veteran with Hyatt, he was also the Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Cincinnati where his team won Hyatt’s “Sales Team of the Year” in 2009. Previous positions with Hyatt include Associate Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Sacramento and Sales Manager at Hyatt Regency Austin.
